What is your question?
I was driving my truck when it died. Now it turns over, but will not start. Also, it sometimes backfires when attempting to start it.It says it has plenty of gas,but we put some more in it to make sure, and also attempted to get it to start by spraying starting fluid in it, with no success. What would be the most common reasons? Also,we recently changed the spark plugs(about a month ago),so that should not be the problem.

You have an ignition problem. Spark plugs aren't the only thing in the ignition system. You need to verify spark at the plugs.
Check the fuse for the injectors located in the fuse block on the dash and the relay for the injectors.
by it backfiring while trying too start it, it might have slipped time. roll it up on no 1 cylinder and make sure the rotor button is pointing at no. 1 plug wire.
Yeah- I already know that.I've been trying to figure out if it is the ingnition coil, or thw ignition control module. My question was"where is the ignition control module lacated?
You know robin I'm just trying to help you. In your original post you stated "ignition control" not ignition control module. If you really want to know how to verify if it is the coil or "IGNITION MODULE" contact me at jmgrhm30@gmail.com
ok- we had the control module checked and replaced the coil.Still won't start.I am totally perplexed.Any more ideas that might work?
