What is your question?
THANK YOU SO MUCH RAIDERRON !!! Now will you tell me how to refill the radiator? I didn't drain the whole thing. I don't know if I should refill it at the radiator or the overflow and does the truck need to be running?

Start the truck, fill at the rad and monitor it at idle and at the temp gauge, you should see the level drop after has been idling for a bit when the thermostat you just installed open up and the engine coolant swaps with the rad coolant, Top off as needed. Just in case of air pockets it would not hurt to check when system is cool and top off as needed. Be sure to visually inspect the thermostat housing area for any leaks after the replacement when rechecking the coolant level. If is seeping you will see a puddle next to where you installed thermo. Good luck. I remember Imperial Beach from when I lived there when stationed in San Diego when in the service.
Were you stationed on any of the ships? AND THANKS AGAIN I DID WHAT YOU SAID....NOW I JUST HOPE NOTHING IS LEAKING IN THE MORNING, WHEN I HAVE TO GO TO WORK!!
I was on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier stationed out of Coronado Island during the Viet Nam war. If you made sure the thermostat opened up, good way to tell is if the upper rad hose got hot it did because when thermo opens the coolant travels from block thru the upper hose and into the rad, just keep an eye on the temp gauge and recheck level when engine is cold. Good luck.
