I didn't see a good illustration in Alldata try Autozone. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info. and get an online repair manual subscription.
After cleaning the surfaces of the intake and thermostat housing install the thermostat in the recessed area at the intake, should drop right in and be perfect fit, can smear a dab of sealer on the housing and attach gasket or make sure both surfaces are dry and lay the gasket on top of the intake and the inside should cover a small amount of the outer diameter of the thermo, line up the bolt holes, put thermo housing carefully on top of thermo and drop the bolts in and thread by hand, works easier if rad hose is not attached, tighten bolts snug and equal, attach hose, tighten clamp, fill with cooalnt and start and monitor coolant level and watch the engine temp.
