The knob broke off and I have to replace the whole switch. How hard is it to take the dash apart?

I can't think of a better DIY job. The piece of trim surrounding the gauges and steering wheel pulls straight off, you unplug it, remove it from the trim panel, then put the new one in and replace the trim.
