code scanner number P0167:O2 sensor heater circuit (bank 2 sensor 3). Where is this sensor and what does it mean when it says heater circuit? Is this like a glow plug?

New 02 sensors use heating elements to allow them to warm up and come on line faster. This reduces emissions on cold start-up. I do not come up with a code P0167 for your 97 Suburban and I don't recall a bank2 sensor3, could it be a code P0161? That would be bank 2 sensor 2, this sensor is located behind to catalytic convertor for bank 2 - the right bank where cylinder #2 is.

Thank you Russ. It was P0161, but I thought it said bank 2 sensor 3. thanks for answering me
