The first thing is to check the grounding wire for that circuit. It will be coming out of the wiring harness within a foot of the light socket.
Next, clean the light socket, and look for any signs of melting or charring.
If there is any damage to the socked, you will want it replaced.
Most often this is a grounding wire issue, but also check the wires for the light bulb socket, as you may have an intermittent open causing arching to destroy the light.
