My 2006 Chevy Avalanche 1500 turns over but doesn't start up, why?

It just happened I was driving and then everything just shut off it was clicking when I turn the key but the engine wasn't turning over yet. Then I gave it se time and I started up the truck again and it turned over but never started up.

What makes this problem better or worse?
