A blown fuse. A bad brake switch.

it's not a fuse. but it's could be a bad brake switch.

I HAD A SIMILIAR PROBLEM IN MY 87 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL. EVERYTHING WORKED BUT MY BRAKE LIGHTS WOULDNT WORK. IT SO HAPPENED THAT I GOT A SERIOUS SOUND SYSTEM PUT IN AND WHEN THEY GROUNDED IT OUT TO THE BODY THEY ACCIDENTLY WENT THROUGH A WIRE. IF YOU HAVE A SOUND SYSTEM IN IT MAYBE CHECK THAT.

well the person that had it before had a system in it and they took it out but will check.
