2004 Avalanche 1500 2 wd. Replaced power steering pump 3 times still noisy. Replaced power steering boost. Still noisy pump. I used a Nappa remanufactured pumps.
How long has your 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 had this problem?

Hello, You likely have air trapped inside the system. There is likely a leak that is allowing air to circulate back into the power steering pump, or the steering gear has failed. If you have binding or failure within the power steering gear, or anywhere else in the steering system, you could be overloading the pump.
