WHEN TURNING STEERING WHEEL LOCK TO LOCK THE BELT SQUEELS. DOES THE TENSION NEED TO BE CHANGED?

Not usually; if you hold the wheel against the lock or it bumps against the lock, it causes extreme tension on the power steering pump pulley, which in turn puts pressure on the belt that squeals. Avoiding the "lock" is probably the best medicine, as being against the lock causes pump issues and could lead to steering problems if done regularly or for long periods.
