What does servicing driver assistance light mean?

Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Your Cadillac has several driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, lane keep assist, safety alert seat and others. The warning you are getting is notifying you that there is a fault code in one of those systems. The first step is to get quality scan tool connected to the car to read out the fault codes. This will let the technician know which system is affected and what the specific issue may be. While the code doesn't always tell us exactly what is wrong, it points us in the right direction and let us know where to focus our diagnosis. There are several sensors, modules, connectors and lots of wiring involved in each of these systems - and any one of those things could be causing that warning light you are seeing. I recommend bringing it to a reputable shop to get it diagnosed. If you need any further advice or want help finding a trusted RepairPal shop in your area, please feel free to call us at 877-913-1554
