I have a 2013 SRX & mine is in the shop for the 3rd time as we speak regarding this same issue. Purchased May of 2013. Cue Screen had to be placed 3/15, 7/17, & 12/18. The cost is $1,850. Yours should still be under the manufacture warranty but if you do not have the extended warranty every year-in-a-half the replacement is on your nickle. The service department told me personally that the Cue Control that Cadillac puts in these vehicles are trash & they are doing nothing to fix the problem. I also bet they did not tell you this when you purchased it. We call this a Money Grab. Knowingly put trash in a vehicle & the only fix is to bring it back to the dealership to be fixed. Wait until your headlights start dimming. Another trash part GM/Cadillac knows & refuses to do anything about. This will run you $1,400 - $2,200 & by the way if you have the CNA Premium Bumper-To-Bumper $5,000 Extended Warranty, they will not cover this either. These two are just the beginning of your future problems w/ this vehicle. My advice, sell it while you can and never buy another Cadillac product again.
Replace it yourself. It cost me $140 for a quality new screen on the internet that had a set of plastic trim tools included, and using a YouTube video, and a little care and a few hand tools, I replaced it in about 2 hours. The “good†screens (not “factory replacement†which cost about $230) respond well to “wave†as the new ones do. Mine has worked like new for two months and running now. Really, you can save over $1400 by doing it yourself.
