Can I replace air with gas rear shocks/struts?

What is your question?

My Cadillac needs rear shocks on both sides and I found out AFTER I bought the wrong shocks, that I need the air shocks which are super expensive. None of the auto wreckers in my area or online has the part used, neither ebay or amazon sells the part so not sure what to do. Can I replace these with gas shocks which are more affordable?
