I have a 2005 cadillac srx my sunroof will open but wont close the dealer says parts are no longer availible what can i do im in the dayton ohio area

Hello, I would recommend pushing the dealer management to coming up with a solution, whether it be obtaining used parts or seeking out some kind of acceptable replacement parts. I'm not sure what part is needed per their diagnostic testing, but nearly anything can be found and repaired these days with effort. If your dealership is not helpful, seek the guidance of a local repair shop other than the dealership that will be willing to "look outside the box" to repair your vehicle. Lastly, if costs are prohibitive, you may want to angle towards getting the glass closed and then disabling the switch so it cannot be open again -- this way at least the car can be still of use.
