Why is my supercharged 3800 missing when I accelerate, though it idles good?

Nobody had touched the plug wires or coils for several thousand miles before the trouble started, but I did double check the firing order after I replaced the plug wires. It finally started giving me a trouble code indicating (according to OReilly's reader) that cylinder one was not firing. After again replacing that plug and plug wire without a change in result, I did an ohm check on the fuel injector and it was fine. Last night I dropped the car off with a mechanic; if it's internal, it's too much for me.
