My 02 park avenue seems to drive better while in drive oppose to idle..rough idle misses and fuel smell ...well I also have on board diagnostics either ..emmisions said its non existent Passed tailpipe test...but instrument panel lights up while key is in on position but while started its blank ..I have already drove car 4-5 times far enough and lonv enougb that if I had a bad head or any other major problem I would have known but I do have a tick in lifter and even tho I have heat the floor feels colder and defrost takes long and radiator is moving coolant but fans wont kick on never overheated either no smoke no smell ..while trying to reset car I noticed security light wont stay on and in start mode key comes out passlock 3 indicates key needz p3 stamp I have p5 so going further to check wires after fuse test I found a whole harness with 2 wires that are thicker gauge 1 white and 1 red also a green one thats jumped and another jumped wonder if the engine performs better because its able to perform drve cycles in drive oppose to park where my ignition controls things and it obviously malfunctions cause key comes out while driving once I had it started and pulled key out I put a extra key I was given in and security light came on I believe pcm ecm are only functioning in drive and the jumpy engine and fuel smell are due to fuel trim in park cause ignition is malfunctioning and to much fuel is being dispensed is this plausible
