What is your question?
Engine light came on to service engine soon and a cloud of blue smoke came from behind the car. What could this be?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's better when the motor cools off...
How long has your 1997 Buick Park Avenue had this problem?
Just happened

Blue is usually oil. This could be bad piston rings if it's constant, bad valve seals if it happens after it's been sitting. It could be many other things like the pcv system as well but you will need an inspection, either way, to be sure. Use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/estimator Alex
My car has difficulty cranking over. We replaced the starter and the symptoms did not change. Now I will ask him to check either a frozen pulley or maybe the flex plate jammed up. Thank you, JB
My car cranks over with a wrench, so it is not locked... What is dry lock anyway?
Could it possibly the upper intake manifold? This happened a few years ago and the symptoms were exactly the same? My mechanic told me he found fouled plugs, so, we changed out the plugs and wires still the same...
