What is your question?
This vehicle has been sitting for a couple years, however in great condition. The fuel pump needed to be replaced, which I did do and the car started right up. The engine compartment became engulfed in blue smoke, and I immediately shut the vehicle off to better tune her. Sadly I left the gas cap off the vehicle for over one month (unlikely to have much water in the tank as the car didn't drive anywhere and the gas cover door was shut.) The trunk weatherstripping is damaged and water got into the trunk too with the panel cover off the fuel pump, hence why I wish to drain the gas and change the fuel filter. I have been filling up bottles by using the fuel pump to drain from the main inlet under the hood by turning the key, which I could continue (1/4 tank left). I need to know the best spot for a floor jack and easiest way to drain the remaining gas, replace fuel filter, and anything I'm not thinking of. The power steering was jerky, but probably only needs fluid.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Replaced fuel pump 1 year ago

Hello, the only proper way I can suggest removing fuel is by obtaining and using a fuel syphon through the fuel filler neck. I would not suggest doing what you are doing, as this is a volatile area and you could start a fire easily.
