smell of gasoline

It must have a gas leak. Do you see any stains, gas evaporates quickly but leaves a distinctive stain. See if you can determine if the fuel smell is coming from the engine compartment area, under the car or the gas filler neck /fuel tank area.

I did a 1995 Buick Park ave last week.Right rear passengers side door.Look under edge of body you should be able to see the fuel filter.For some reason they always leak at that spot first because of the nice salty winter days.
