What is your question?
We just replaced the water pump and after installing the water pump, the car will not run. We thought the crank shaft position sensor may have gotten damaged so it was replaced also. Its getting electricity to the coil packs but no spark at the plugs. Coil packs and ignition control module were replaced approx. 2 yrs ago. The OBD-2 scanner we have keeps giving a link error message. No blown fuses or relays. Car was running fine aside from slight water leak and occasional overheating in traffic until the water pump change. What could be keeping it from running? Please help!

If you have checked the sensors already. Is there a chipped key or is the security lamp flashing. It may be the security system keeping it from firing.
If you are getting power at the coil, yet no spark you may have a bad coil. Alex
Is there a way to test it? My uncle put it on ascanner and the code said icm was bad. So I replaced the icm and still nothing.
I would either take the vehicle to a trusted mechanic for diagnostic. Spending any more money just replacing random parts is not the answer. You are now a crank sensor and an ignition control module into a water pump job and it still does not run. Finding an answer from mechanics without being able to look at or test anything will have you running in circles. I still think you have a security issue. But that being said I have no way to prove it or test it. Diagnostics run around 100.00 at most shops. A Mobile Locksmith with a computer to relearn/reprogram keys is around 100.00 if your shop can't. I would try one of those two options before buying any more parts. Sorry this isn't that helpful for the do it you self kinda guy with much respect for trying, but if you cant relearn the security or get into the PCM to pull a fault code you will be out more money without resolution. Good luck and keep posting. I want to know what fixes this car now lol. I'll keep answering questions to the best of my knowledge.
The security light stays lit like it always has. It's been on the entire 5 years we have owned the car. It's not flashing or anything. It does have a transponder key but we've never had the key fob for it. Is there a way to reset the security system? I had to have a new key made recently and it didn't have to be programmed or anything. The steering column is not the factory column also. I was told you have to do a relearn process after changing the crankshaft position sensor. Is that true for this particular make and model I wonder?
