No Reverse

I changed the transmission filter on my 1995 Buick and when I drained the fluid there was a lot of metal parts and pieces as big as 1/4 inch. I cleaned it up as good as possilble but when I tried to put it in gear it wouldn't go unless I pull the gear shift lever down real hard then it would go into gear and shift fine while driving it but there is now no reverse gear at all!!
