What is your question?
I just purchased this car and noticed the trim. They have said they will try to polish it out. My question should I let them polish it out or tell them I want them replaced? Not sure what they are made out of, but the forums I have read said unless it is stainless steal I could have a problem. It is a Buick envision essence 2020
How long has your 2020 Buick Envision had this problem?
Just bought the car

Hello, I don't think it's a situation of an inappropriate material for manufacturing. I think the trim has been tarnished by some kind of outside influence -- such as a wax or cleaner that is not meant to be used for them. This could have been done at a car wash or even when the car was new at the dealership. Sun exposure can also cause the problem -- if there is radiant sun reflecting off a window or some other reflective device near where you park the vehicle. I do not think this is a manufacturer defect from what you're describing, but I think if you ask for the dealership to assist as "goodwill" to replace them one time, you might be in luck -- but try to determine what the root cause may be nonetheless.
