BMW recommended replacement of front differential and upper oil pan gasket

If this was my vehicle, with 4+ years and 50,400 miles, I would be raising my concern to BMW for goodwill assistance. Is this a dealership that is checking the vehicle? It appears you are merely months out off the base warranty period and 400 miles out. I would appeal for goodwill as -- there's nothing to lose doing so. If that does not work, I would get a quote from another repair facility that is specialized in BMW repairs. I cannot even imagine why a front differential would fail at all, let alone at 50,000 miles.
