Can’t open trunk to put in battery, closed trunk accidentally and now it’s locked and I can’t open it. Help! Tried everything! No backseat entry to trunk either.
How long has your 2011 BMW 535i xDrive had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The center armrest of the rear seat can be lowered to provide a release access to have a small window into the trunk, where you can reach the manual emergency trunk release. Other than that, with a jumper power box, you can open the hood and hook up to the positive and negative terminals under the hood - even with no battery hooked up in the trunk. Provide power there, and use the power trunk release to open. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
