I'm having a problem with the check engine light. It comes on at certain times and when i accelerate it starts run rough. After getting to highway speeds and running a while, light goes out. Help

While acceleration is started vehicle acts like it wants to stall. I can stop and turn vehicle off and light goes out and vehicle runs normal.
