combustion misfires on cylinders

Hello jslittle, your BMW is most likely experiencing an ignition coil failure. I would take it to a qualified shop in your area for repairs. I would recommend replacing all 6 Ignition coils and Spark plugs at the same time as if 1 ignition coil is failing right now, the other 5 are not far behind and if you only do 1 right now, you will be paying double or more for labor on the next set of coils you replace later on for doing the same job again so best to do them all while the tech is already in there the first time.
