Please provide advice on how to troubleshoot startup?

Engine was recently replaced in a 2009 328i XDrive. The code A0B1 is coming up with a few others. We believe there is an immobilizer related issue causing the vehicle not to start up, we are unsure how to fix this. Vehicle cranks over with manual voltage applied but does not start up. Please help with any knowledge you may have regarding these circumstances.
