Car doesn’t recognize key in ignition

Hi, if your key has a battery in it, try replacing the battery to be sure it is visible by the vehicle. Try a second key if available. If neither suggestion works, diagnostic testing will be needed to find out what's going on with your key. I do not see any reason that the vehicle systems would disassociate with the key unless it's a different key than has been programmed or used before.
