how do i fill or check my atoumatic transmission fluid?

There is an inspection plug on the side of either the manual or automatic trans. No more dipstick on the BMW auto trans, since the early 90s.

You can't, bmw have sealed transmissions. you have to find a shop that has the equipment to check it.

there should be an little cylinder cap on top of the engine that you pour it in
