What is your question?
i have a 1995 BMW 318i. when it gets to about 1/4 of a tank it like stalls out..keep in mind that it is an automatic. it is not supposed to do that. if i hold the gas pedal in for a while it will go and not cut off. i have taken it to autozone and they will not check it out because the check engine light is not on. i have also taken it to a shop and he said nothing was wrong with it but it had about 1/2 a tank of gas in it at that time. the check engine light comes on when it like stalls out but once i get it going it goes off. i dont know what to do or how to fix it because i dont know whats wrong with it. so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I'm thinking there might be a leaking fuel pump in the tank, or the hose that attaches to the fuel pump. If there was a leak in one of these, it wouldn't be an issue when the fuel level is above the leak, but when the level is below the leak it could be drawing air into the fuel line, causing the problem. Let the fuel level get below 1/2 tank and be able to reproduce the problem consistently, then take a mechanic for a test drive and demonstrate the problem to them. Then they should check the fuel pressure to see if it is dropping when the problem occurs. You will need to pay a diagnosis fee for this, so be expected to pay at least 1 hour of diagnosis, possibly more if they need to remove the fuel pump to check it out.
try losing gas cap,or replace it,are the other answer is a good posabilty althow it would pump fuel back into the tank ifthere was a leak in line in tank, could be sending unit in tank, and its out of gas at a 1/4 tank, fill and check gallon and capacity of tank,
