So my buddy has this car with about 160,000 miles, salvage title. He fixed it up and is trying to sell it, and I'm in the market for another car. I was curious if its worth it to buy the car? What are the average maintenance cost and are their any specific problems that this car general has? Thanks for any advice you can give and for your time!

I would highly recommend having a pre-purchase inspection preformed on the vehicle. I would be more concerned about the vehicle having 160,000 miles, opposed to cost of maintenance. 20K mile service is going to cost around $500-$700 and 40K mile service is around $1000. Again with that many miles there are going to be other problems that will popup. I can't stress this enough PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION is a must.
