front suspension won't lift. car bounces and scraps ground. left outside 2 weeks undriven. could have possible rain damage.
what do you suspect the problem to be and do you have a rough estimate on the cost? the car has 108k miles on it.
thank you
What is your question?
I'm having issues w the front suspension on my 2001 audi allroad wagon. i left it in an outdoor lot for 2 wks as I traveled for holiday. there's been a lot of rain in this area and i only have outdoor parking. when I returned from my trip the front suspension was shot. the car bounces on every little bump in the road and scratches from hanging so low. the rear suspension is fine. do you have any guess to what the issue is and an estimate on repairs? the car has 108k miles on it.
thank you
Lauren
It could be the system needs to be re-initialized or the compressor pump has gone bad. I would take car to an Audi specialist and the computer scanned for suspension fault codes. That will narrow down the diagnosis. It's a very common problem on that vehicle. Good Luck.
thanks so much for your advice! I'm debating whether or not to keep investing in it. seems repair costs are piling up more than the amount I paid for it.
These air suspensions last through warranty then need work. Very common. Quite expensive to repair since the weakest chain in the system will continue to fail.. Fix the damaged line and the actuator fails, etc...We have installed over 50 conversions fro air to spring/strut.
