the mmi stays on continuously even when the car is turned off and the keys out. those 2 lights and the mmi screen will not turn off and eventually run down the battery. I've tried to do the force reboot but once it turns off and comes back on it starts doing the same thing.

Hello, basically - you need a specialist to have a look at this. There's nothing easy. The only thing that comes to mind is maybe a door switch -- one that suggests the driver's door is open. If it doesn't trigger the door open, then it may not shut down vehicle accessories. See a shop near you: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
