Look it up on the internet on an Audi website if you don't have a manual to reference. They will give you all the info you need.

audi calls for 6.9 quarts. audi uses castrol syntec, we use 5w40. this is from the repair manual "ENGINE OIL: Approximate quantities! Use
API SERVICE SJ for gasoline engines. Do not overfill! Overfilling engine oil can cause misfire DTC's to be stored in Engine Control Module (ECM) -J220-. To prevent overfilling, add approx. 0.5L less than capacity, start engine and let run until operating temperature is approx. 60C (140F), turn OFF ignition, wait approx. 3 minutes, check dipstick, fill to MAX. See Repair Manual for details". the audi filter is great quality some others are truly crap. the only one i like as much is made by "MANN" who makes filters for audi.
