What is your question?
I have a 2009 audi a4 2.0. today has 127,000 mi. I got a year ago. 2 weeks ago the engine light came on and I didnt rush to take it in because it was running fine other then idling kinda rough. a week later i drove it and when i stepped on the gas it barley had power. But did pick up power after. But once i stopped it started all over. Sluggish then power. So i was gonna take it in the next morning but no start. It sounded like it wants to start but cant kick over.. I dont think there is anything wrong with the battery because everything lights up on , panel etc . So i bought a scanner and codes came up were P0016 Crankshaft Position Sensor and code P0299 Deverter valve. So i bought the parts my boyfriend put them on but my car still doesn't start. I dont know alot about cars but i know sometimes when certain things get changed there are certain steps you got to take. Could it be something else that the scanner didnt pick up
What makes this problem better or worse?
Won't start

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. If your A4 Quattro won't start and you've already replaced the crankshaft position sensor and diverter valve, but the issue persists, there might be a few other things to consider. The P0016 code indicates that the engine's crankshaft and camshafts are not moving in sync. This may be caused by issues with engine timing components and can prevent the engine from starting properly. The P0299 code suggests a turbocharger underboost condition, which might not directly prevent starting but could affect performance. The timing concern and the underboost condition could both contribute to the lack of power and sluggish operation of the car. Due to the complexity of these systems, it may be best to consult a trusted repair shop for a full diagnosis.
