Why would there be brass flakes in the oil filter could it be oil pump or turbo?

Hello, I don't see why the turbo would cause brass flakes to get to the oil filter. I suppose anything is possible, but it sounds like possibly bearing material. Just a guess. Hands on testing is needed. But if your oil pressure light is on, it sounds like damage has occurred and needs to be resolved. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
