Car was given to me for free, it was running rough, idling erratically, stalling and sometimes not wanting to start, did a tune up on it and replaced a few other parts along the way, spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, distributor cap, ignition rotor insided distributor cap, timing belt, timing belt automatic tensio, ner, egr valve, starter, battery.. drove it for about 2 months back and forth to work and now it wont start at all or crank, just makes a whirring noise

What makes this problem better or worse?

Problems were worse when engine was warmed up
