how does evaporator work in A/C system.

The evaporator works the oppsite of the condinser the refrigerant liquiid is turned into gas, absorbing heat from the air in the compartment. When the liquid refrigerant reches the evaporator it's pressure has been reduced, dissipating it's heat content and making it much cooler then the fan air flowing around it.
