Pressure cap

The cooling system pressure cap raises the boiling point of the coolant in the cooling system. If the cap fails coolant may not be sealed in the radiator and boil out, or it may allow coolant to flow into the coolant expansion tank but not be sucked back into the radiator if the suction valve in the expansion cap fails shut.
