Hello, The transmission will need to be evaluated to find out why the torque converter is not 'locking'. The torque converter is like the clutch for an automatic transmission, and in your model, the torque converter can lock-up to save gas mileage, and enable to vehicle to run at lower engine speed on the highway. There is likely a problem with the solenoid used to lock the torque converter, but it could be that the fluid has been used too long. Bring it into one of the certified shops on the list, and ask around to see if anyone has an ASE certified transmission expert. This will cut down diagnostics time. http://repairpal.com/hyundai-within-10-miles-of-tomball-texas-77375
