On the overhead console that has the switches for the power side doors and power liftgate, there's an on/off switch on the extreme left side of this bank of switches. What does it turn on or off? Nothing in the manual about this.

If that switch is in one position the rear passengers can open the power doors with the switch in the side pillar. If the switch is in the other position they can not. Sort of a child safety lock for the power door switches. From page 32 of the owners manual, "To avoid unintentional operation of the power sliding door from the rear seats, press the button located in the overhead console to disable the switches for the rear seat passengers.
