My low oil light has been coming on lately and my car smells like its burning thru oil and just recently started making a putting sound as well
Looking for mechanic to change valve cover and spark plug gaskets, them bad boys are leaking oil and starting to short out other electrical components on the vehicle.
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant that I have replaced the head gasket, water pump and radiator that was cracked, changed the gasket between the oil filter housing and the engine. My mechanic cannot find the problem. Can not find the leak. He had it idling for 2 hrs and didn't leak. At 2000rpm he could see where oil was leaking from and that was the connection between oil filter and engine. I drove home and almost immediately noticed heat gauge go to almost 3/4 of the way. I see oil leaking onto the axle/strut. I can't find it. Neither can they. Any ideas?
