Once the vehicle's onboard system no longer detects the issue, most codes will disappear on their own. If your vehicle still has this code, however, it should be properly diagnosed to avoid a more serious problem.

Some vehicles equipped with automatic transmission will give the driver the option of selecting the desired gear while driving, known as TAP Shifting. The shifter will usually either have a + ahd - button on it, or shift side to side when in Drive. If the downshift switch does not function correctly, code P2795 will set and the TAP Shift function will be disabled.
