OBD-II Code Transmission may not shift properly is defined as a Torque Management Feedback Signal "B" Range/Performance

The Transmission Control Module and the engine computer (PCM) constantly talk to each other to ensure that they are working together to produce the desired power output. If the two modules fail to communicate with each other, code P2642 is set.
