OBD II Fault Code


    OBD-II Code High voltage control module failure is defined as a Range/Performance

    The Battery Pack Air Temperature Sensor tells the High Voltage control module the temperature of the ambient air in and around the hybrid battery pack. If the High Voltage Control Module detects an incorrect signal from the Hybrid Battery Pack Air Temperature Sensor, it will set code P0AAD. This temperature sensor is part of the battery pack assembly on most high voltage vehicles.

    Common Problems That Trigger the P0AAD Code

    • High voltage battery assembly failure
    • High voltage control module failure
