OBD-II Code Engine may overheat is defined as a Motor Electronics Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit

The Hybrid System has its own cooling system. The Motor Electronics Coolant Temperature Sensor monitors the temperature of the hybrid cooling system. If the engine computer (PCM) sees an implausible signal from this sensor, code P0A00 will be stored.
