OBD II Fault Code

  • OBD II P012C

OBD-II Code Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure is defined as a Turbocharger/Supercharger Inlet Pressure Sensor Circuit Low

The Turbo/Supercharger inlet pressure sensor tells the engine control module (PCM) how much air is being forced into the engine When the PCM detects an incorrect signal from this sensor, it will set code P012C.This may send the vehicle into "limp home mode", limiting the amount of power out of the engine, to protect other components from being damaged.

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure Symptoms

    • Engine may enter limp home mode (reduced performance)
    • Lack of boost from the turbo/supercharger

Common Problems That Trigger the P012C Code

    • Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure
    • Wiring issue
