OBD II Fault Code

  • OBD II P011A

OBD-II Code Decreased engine performance is defined as a Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1/2 Correlation

The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor measures the temperature of the coolant going through the engine. The engine control module (PCM) uses this information to determine how much fuel to use to keep the engine running properly. It also uses this information to protect the engine from overheating. When the PCM detects a problem with this sensor or the circuit for the sensor, it will set code P011A.

    Decreased engine performance Symptoms

    • A/C may not operate
