My Mr2 spyder won't shift out of first, but still shifts to reverse and neutral.

Hi my Mr2 won't shift to second but still shifts to reverse and neutral. It was sitting out side for a couple months not under cover, do you think that may have something to do with it? Does anyone have a solution for this??

What makes this problem better or worse?

I did notice that shifting was getting a little sticky.

If it's still shifting to first, neutral and reverse when exactly is happening when you try to go to second? Does the shifter move into 2nd but doesn't engage the gear? Is the shifter frozen and it won't even move into the slot for 2nd? Need more info. Alex
