What is your question?
I have a 93 Nissan king cab 4x4 V6 3.0 L. Recently it started to overheat after running about 8 miles at 55mph or so. I'm pretty sure my thermostat gave out, and as I was going to drain the coolant, I noticed I'm missing the air valve from the upper radiator hose. Why would that be? I bought Chilton's repair manual for it and the diagram points out exactly where it is.

I'm suspicious of a clogged radiator or a defective head gasket if the truck overheated driving straight and level at 55 mph. Anything's possible, could be a faulty thermostat too. You don't mention whether it lost coolant. About the hose, it's possible that the hose has been replaced with a hose without the bleeder valve. I'd guess that would have been cheaper than a hose with a valve. If you need to bleed air, you probably could do it by loosening a hose clamp and allowing air to bleed at the hose connection. You could also buy a hose with an air bleeder, it may only be available at the dealer if at all.
